Good Energy launches first new marketing campaign in three years

New campaign shows ways you’re ‘being good’, urging people to switch to clean power

24th October

Good Energy, the 100% renewable power provider, launches a new marketing campaign today.

The new campaign focusses on making clean energy the natural choice for consumers who Good Energy describe as eco-worriers, a whole section of society already cares about doing the right thing for the environment; they recycle, avoid single-use plastics and take their reusable bags to the supermarket.

The video creative shows five ways ‘you’re already being good’ and then encourages viewers to add just one more good thing to their lifestyle by switching to clean energy, one of the biggest things individuals and businesses can do to tackle climate change.

Developed and created by Good Energy’s new creative agency Creature, it stars actress Jessica Clark, known for her recent role in BBC drama Versailles. The digital only campaign will be show across multiple channels including social media, display and search.

Good Energy has partnered with creative agency Creature to develop both the ad campaign and a total brand re-fresh, coming next month. Newly appointed digital agency Fetch will execute the launch of the new campaign.

Interim Marketing Director, Paul Tavener, who joined the Good Energy team in June, said: “This is a really important time for us as we move towards being a brand that is not just an energy provider, but one which can handle the full range of new smart services. We know that the market is there for a purpose led business looking to help customers choose clean energy. Now we want to get out there and tell people about our new offering.”

Stu Outhwaite-Noel, Co-CCO and founder of Creature added, “The world's full of people banging on about wanting to make a difference, so it's a joy working with a company who are putting their money where their mouth is and actually getting on with it. Which is what you should too. If you want to save the world, switch to Good Energy. And be nicer.”

Good Energy has spent the past 19 years pioneering the UK’s transition to a low-carbon economy by supplying 100% renewable power to its business and domestic customers.

The company is embracing a new strategic direction, moving away from being a pure energy provider to a business which helps consumers embrace technology to better manage their energy use and generation.
